World Food Day
On Friday 16 October 2020, the whole school celebrated World Food Day.
Each class in the school had an amazing opportunity to study a different country, from around the world. The main focus of the day was to discover some traditional foods that are eaten in our chosen country. This included smelling, tasting and making some traditional foods, discussing our thoughts and feelings about them, and even taking our experiences home with us. It was thrilling to discover these foods, and it created some fantastic debate about personal taste.
Throughout the day, the classes extending their learning about their country further, by looking at its location in the world, identifying the flag, listening to some traditional music and even learning a few words and phrases in the country's language.
A thoroughly exciting multi-cultural experience was had by all, and we look forward to more food technology activities throughout the year.
