Halloween Reading Oracy Event

The last day of Term 1 was an exciting one, and a big part of this was down to our Halloween Reading Oracy event.

Children listened to a range of spooky stories with a focus on the delivery of the story and how to really captivate their audience. From here, children were able to practise these with their peers and eventually share their performance with the class in the pitch black with torches below their faces for effect. Pace and intonation of the spooky stories was excellent and this helped the children understand context and reading for purpose.
