World Oceans Day

Mrs Salter and the Eco Council have led an assembly to celebrate this year’s World Oceans Day.

The children learned about the vast amount of plastic waste which is dumped in the world’s oceans. Staggeringly, the weight of plastic dumped into our oceans every year is equivalent to the weight of 20 jumbo jet planes. We found out that there are many ways we can help in school.

Using less plastic and recycling plastic picked up at break times will mean that Aylesford Primary School can help in the campaign to reduce this unnecessary pollution of our oceans.
