Mental Health Week

Miss Adams led an assembly to raise awareness amongst the children of this important campaign on Wednesday.

The children watched a presentation which explained what mental health means and that looking after our minds is just as important as looking after our bodies. The children learned ways that they can help support their own mental health such as healthy eating, exercise and getting enough sleep.

Miss Adams explained that the theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness week is ‘Nature’ and explored what we can do to feel closer to nature. Importantly, the children learned that it is okay not to feel okay and who they can turn to when they experience feelings that negatively affect their thoughts and behaviour.
