Government announcement - phased re-opening of schools

Following the announcement on Sunday 10 May regarding School Opening and the ‘route map’ for a gradual and phased re-opening of schools, we are presently planning how best we can achieve this. As you can imagine, there are many aspects and details to consider.

We will be in contact with parents of Year R, Year 1 and Year 6 by Wednesday 13 May to survey your intentions, because parents may well decide to continue with our online provision.  The survey will help in our planning. We will then share our arrangements with these parents by Friday 22 May.

As a Trust, our focus is in accordance with one aim:

To maximise the effectiveness of teaching and care for our children, whilst safeguarding the health and well-being of everyone at our school – pupils, parents and staff.

We appreciate too, that you will understand, whilst we are determined to open again as fully as we can, as soon as we can, we do need to consider the safety and welfare of our staff and children as part of a comprehensive Risk Assessment and that this requires considerable planning.

In the meantime, thank you for your patience in this matter and for your continued help in supporting our children’ learning as best we can.
