Young Adventurer Award

VIAT has devised an exciting new personal development programme which will be rolled out to Trust Primary schools this Autumn.

The programme will consist of two levels with one level taken in both Year Five and Six. The children will take part in a range of activities to include community, physical, skill and adventure.

At the end of Level One, Year Five will be invited to join an activity day. Those completing Level Two will have the opportunity to attend an overnight camp-out with other VIAT Primary schools.

The children will be supervised by Duke of Edinburgh award leaders and qualified teachers. Many secondary schools take part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and this Young Adventurer Award will give children a flavour of what might lie ahead. It is estimated that it will cost around £40 to enrol in each level of the programme.
